The immediate preparations for coping with a prospective local outbreak of measles include vaccinating the local population which has not yet had a completed course of MMR inoculation. See the January LMC Hot topics Bulletin.

This includes Practice Staffs. https://www.england.nhs.uk/long-read/guidance-for-risk-assessment-and-infection-prevention-and-control-measures-for-measles-in-healthcare-settings/

Practices may vaccinate their staff -even I they are registered as patients elsewhere- as an
Occupational Health & Safety at work measure.

Yesterday the Clinical Negligence Scheme General Practice confirmed that the scheme does indemnify GPs in respect of administering the MMR to staff not registered with them.
It remains the case that GPs are not entitled to claim and Item of Service fee for doing so.
